The Great Adventure of Steven the Springbok

Part 1- Steven get lost from his herd 

It was a warm and sunny day in Africa, Steven and his herd were grazing and enjoying life as they knew it. Steven and his friends were playing, when Steven noticed a butterfly flutter by. Steven thought it was the most beautiful butterfly he had ever seen and started to follow along as the butterfly fluttered away from the herd. Along his way he stumbles upon a pretty flower, he stops to smell it. Suddenly he hears a lion roar, he hurries to try and catch up with the herd, but he is too late. He had wandered too far away, and his herd hurried away when the lions arrived.

Steven is scared, sad and alone, he finds shelter under a bush and decides to look for his herd tomorrow. Steven falls asleep under the bush.

The next day Steven’s journey begins as he wanders around the African savannah in search of his friends.

Steven has been wandering around for a while, it’s hot and he is very thirsty. He comes across a waterhole and reaches down to quench his thirst. All of a sudden, a huge head breaches the surface, Steven is startled and lets out a loud scream which in turn scares Hanna the Hippo who screams just as loudly back at Steven.

Now it’s your turn to continue the story. What do you think should happen next?    

Part 2 - Steven meets Mufasa the Lion and Sally the Zebra

Your part of the story

Steven and Hannah the hippo meet the lion Mufasa and become best friends. The three friends decide to take a swim in the river. After a good swim. Steven asks Hannah and Mufasa if they want to help him find his family again. And of course they want to help him. 

On their way to find Stevens family, they meet a zebra called Sally. Sally the zebra sees Mufasa and becomes very scared. She thinks that he wants to eat her and therefore she runs away.  

Steven shouts: ”Stop Sally it’s okay. Mufasa only eats fruit.  

Sally the Zebra tells that she has seen Stevens family, but they are very far away.  

And then they all begin their long journey to find Stevens family together. 

Part 3 - Steven and his friends meet a monkey

You are now going to listen to the third part of the story about Steven and his friends.

After a few days where Steven and his friends has been wandering around the savannah, they arrive at a jungle. The jungle is big, green and full of small animals and weird sounds. Everyone was so excited and ran right into the jungle. Well, almost everyone. Mufasa the Lion was so scared and ran the other way. When the others saw it, they shouted:  

” Wait Mufasa, Wait, why are you so scared? ” 

Mufasa stopped and said: ”i don’t like the monkeys, they are so mean to me. They say that i have big teeth’s and they pull my tail all the time.” 

” Don’t you worry. We are your friends and we will protect you from the monkeys”  

After some time, they saw a monkey sitting in a tree, singing.  

The friends were so excited and applaud him.  

Mufasa says: Ohh i’m so hungry right now. Where can we find some fruit?  

The monkey says: You want fruit? Come with me, we have lots of bananas and mangos.  

All of Stevens friends and the monkey sat down together to enjoy the fruit.  

The monkey said: I have never seen a lion eating fruit before.  I thought you only ate meat, like monkeys and so.  

Mufasa said: No no no, i dont like meat. I only eat fruit.  

And the monkey says: Oh i am so sorry for teasing you.I was just afraid that you wanted to eat me. Mufasa says: No i would never. Can we just be friends?  

They all agreed to become friends. 

After a few hours of eating fruit and becoming friends with the monkeys, Sally the Zebra said: “Hey i think i saw your family on the other side of the Jungle, Steven” Let’s go look!  

Part 4 - The end 

Steven meets his mom, dad, sister, brother and baba. Baba was a surprise, as Steven knew nothing about. 

Steven is so happy see his family again - therefore he runs to his family to give them a big hug because he missed them so much.  

All of Stevens friends wanted to say hi to his family. Stevens family is not afraid of his friends and shouts: “Hi Hannah”, “Hi Mufasa”, “Hi Sally” and “Hi monkey” 

They all start to sing happy birthday for baba  

The entire family and all of the friends swims in the big river where Hannahs family lives.  

All the others call for their families, so they are all gathered together and makes a big fat cake to celebrate baba and Steven. 

In the end of the evening they all dance together.  

Hi friends, thanks for helping me finding my family and making new friends. I enjoyed the journey with you.
